NICAS Clip Holiday Camp is designed to be a fun, safe and inclusive introduction to the climbing environment. NICAS Clip Holiday is the perfect first climbing class for children aged 6 – 10 years. The class runs for 90 minutes over a block of 4 days from 09:30 – 11:00, Monday – Thursday, in the fun, safe and inclusive environment of our Clip n Climb and led by our NICAS trained Clip n Climb team. NICAS Clip will teach an introduction to the indoor climbing environment, split over two levels (Foundation & Advanced) the course will show them how to use the auto belay system correctly while working through different climbing movements and techniques. NICAS Clip will also help to develop your child’s confidence and social development by using a mix of both on and off wall play based learning NICAS Clip Foundation NICAS Clip foundation will start by teaching your child the following: – Demonstrating awareness of safety rules and hazards – Putting on a harness correctly – Climbing and descending routes correctly and with confidence NICAS Clip Advanced NICAS Clip Advanced will develop on skills already learnt during foundation and will focus on teaching more advanced climbing techniques such as footwork to help progress their climbing journey.
